Musk funded Flint school water filters & laptops in 2018; pledged to fix water in homes

In 2018, Elon Musk’s foundation donated significant funds to install water filtration systems in Flint schools. The donation enabled students to access clean drinking water for the first time in years. Prior to the installation, the district relied on bottled water. Despite the support, community leaders emphasized that replacing the infrastructure is crucial for long-term recovery. Flint's officials continue working on projects to restore trust in the city's water system.
