State that Musk urges companies to move halts 17 data center permits: Here’s the reason

Texas has suspended permits for 17 data center projects as automated approvals continued despite a freeze. Governor Greg Abbott mandated the halt on new data center approvals due to environmental concerns. An automated licensing software malfunction contributed to unauthorized approvals slipping through. State regulators have intervened to ensure all applications are manually reviewed moving forward. A comprehensive audit of existing data centers is underway to assess their impact on resources.
