New Earth simulation helps hunt for alien life on distant planets

At the University of Washington, a team of researchers has crafted an innovative computer simulation that explores Earth's environmental dynamics devoid of biological influences. This sophisticated model monitors the intricate journey of chemicals through the Earth's various layers over vast geological timescales. The study reveals that a planet can maintain habitable conditions independently of life. Ultimately, this simulation serves as an essential tool for astronomers in identifying potentia
