Dia Mirza's appeal to avoid Diwali firecrackers draws BJP MLA's ire; BMC deletes video

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has faced pressure from the BJP to take down Dia Mirza's video from its Diwali campaign, which promotes a firecracker-free festive season. Though the campaign also features Madhuri Dixit and Nishigandha Wad, Ameet Satam has expressed concerns over Mirza's involvement, suggesting her links to anti-India sentiments. Interestingly, he did not object to the other artists, viewing them as emblematic of culture and sports.
