Flyers pay 120.5% more when booking day before departure; Bengaluru-Chennai fares rise

On the morning of 16 September 2026, fares across 54 domestic routes showed a stark divide in how much last-minute booking costs. On Ahmedabad to Pune, waiting until the day before departure meant paying 120.5 per cent more than a ticket bought 30 days ahead. On Bengaluru to Chennai, that same wait added just 2.9 per cent. The gap between the two extremes is wide enough to matter for anyone planning travel.
